Robyn Lawley made a big splash as she became the first plus-size model in Ralph Lauren’s history. The statuesque size-12 Australian beauty was hired by the iconic brand in April 2012. Before landing the gig with Ralph Lauren, Robyn Lawley was tapped as the stunning new face of British lingerie brand Boux Avenue. It was the second time that the Sydney native fronted the underwear line after hitting the headlines for their fall campaign. Boux Avenue, the high street lingerie company owned by Dragons' Den star Theo Paphitis, selected Australian model and bonafide babe Robyn Lawley to replace their former size 10 model Ola Jordan. “I am delighted to be chosen as the face and body of Boux Avenue lingerie,” the brunette beauty shared in a press statement.”The brand is striving to promote a healthy body image and their size range reflects this.” Miss Lawley, who was pressured to lose weight in her earlier days, seemed to become a supernova in the fashion industry as she covered the world's most covetable magazine and starred in a number of ad campaigns. The 23-year-old size 12 model was featured on French Vogue, French Elle, Vogue Italia. Robyn Lawley is the first plus-size model to appear in the pages of Vogue Australia. The Australian beauty also booked gigs for Marina Rinaldi, Lane Bryant and Simply Be UK.

Robyn Lawley spent much of her adolescence battling with her weight because her body size was not appreciated in the fashion world in the earlier days. “I was told to eat less, exercise more.” She said. “But the thing with my body is that I'm big-boned; I have broad shoulders, I'm really tall, have big hips - it's just not my body. And I love food! I don't want to give it up for something that would make me unhappy.”
